Jess & Brian Ellis - Siblings & Founders
Jess & Brian Ellis are siblings who came together with an idea and passion for helping the recovery community. Brian has been sober since 2020 and went through treatment himself at Harbor Hall in Petoskey, MI. Jess has been an advocate and ally of the recovery community partnering with Brian to help change and transform the lives of those seeking sobriety. Jess is heavily involved with all the decision making and charitable aspects of giveRECOVERY, including community partnerships. She lives in the Chicago area with her husband Anil, and is active at A Restoration.Church. Brian lives in the giveRECOVERY home right alongside of the guests, is responsible for all of the executive decision making of the day the day management of the house. He is a teacher, mentor and friend and will provide the structure and kindness necessary for sober-living. Brian is very active within the Petoskey Church of Christ.
Anil Thomas, Co-Founder
Anil (Jess’ husband) is the co-founder of giveRECOVERY and is involved in all decisions regarding both the organization and guests staying at the house. He oversees all website content and social media platforms for giveRECOVERY. Anil is also active at A Restoration.Church and has two teenage kids. Aside from his career, the bulk of his time outside of giveRECOVERY is spent on the soccer field and volleyball court cheering on his kids. Anil is an ally to the recovery community and provides help and support as necessary.
Tyler Lawie - Recovery Consultant
Tyler is another example of the transformation that can take place via a commitment to sobriety. After completing his recovery treatment at Harbor Hall, Tyler also transitioned to a sober living facility which allowed him to continue on his path to recovery and grow in his faith. Tyler has been sober since 2019 and has been an outspoken witness to the power of faith based recovery. Tyler is a stand in leader and is present and active within the house, and provides insight and leadership to the decision making within giveRECOVERY. Tyler attends and serves at the Petoskey Church of Christ.
Ashleigh Cervantes - Recovery Consultant
Ashleigh is a leader within giveRECOVERY as well as is a certified recovery coach. She previously worked at Bear River Health and continues to share the power that a faith based recovery program can have giving open talks and speaks regularly to the community to spread hope. Ashleigh has been sober since 2020. She attends and serves at Petoskey Church of Christ.
Ryan Cooper - Fellowship Lead
Ryan is a leader within giveRECOVERY overseeing all of the fellowship events for our residents. He also recently became a certified peer recovery coach. Ryan works at Harbor Hall in an administrative role and has been sober since 2022. He truly enjoys helping other addicts in their journey through mentorship and support. Ryan attends and is also a leader at Petoskey Church of Christ.
