frequently asked questions

how long is the program?

we recognize that every recovery journey is different. we do not have a one size fits all approach nor specified timeline for how long someone can be a guest in our home. our desire is that each individual is consistently working on their own goals while in the program. stay as long as you need to feel secure that you are ready to transition to independence. optimal timelines are 1 year to 18 months.

does giveRECOVERY offer detox?

no, giveRECOVERY is not a medically assisted detox center, nor is there a detox unit provided. residents in need of medical detox before admission are referred elsewhere for this service prior to joining. it is an expectation that any guest is sober upon their move-in.

what is a typical day/week like?

a typical day in the first weeks includes getting to know the house, the other guests and the daily routines. we have house meals together every sunday and build in downtime for reflection and fellowship throughout the week.

a typical day beyond the introductory period continues to include these elements and also begins to introduce securing full time employment, opportunities to serve the community, and bible study/church meetings. we also see the guests do a variety of recreational activities together includes skiing, golf, hikes, softball, going out for coffee and breakfast, etc. and building new friends and camaraderie.

what is the launch plan when iā€™m ready to transition to my next phase of independent living?

our goal is to give each guest an individual plan for long-term success. some of this may include things like a financial literacy course to start saving and budgeting, or other critical life-skills such as chores and cooking healthy meals, and planning for short term goals to be most prepared for the next stage of independent living.

monthly fee is $550 which includes a shared bedroom with one other guest (we have 2 guests per room) + individual closet and dresser space, and basic necessities. there is a one-time administrative fee of $25 at move-in to cover the fees associated with your onboarding.
